The Governor's Education Reform Commission developed recommendations regarding education reforms that required the attention of the state legislature. The executive director of the commission, Rex Cheatham, coordinated the work of the several committees that established regional inservice teacher training areas, developed teacher evaluation programs, and reviewed teacher training facilities in the state. This series documents the activites of the regional inservice training workshops as well as the other committees. There are also resumes and contracts for the various consultants who assisted the commission. The series contains correspondence, reports, memoranda, newspaper clippings, and pamphlets.
